DESCRIPTION
Oak is one of the highest quality hardwoods and a favourite choice for those who want a long, steady burn. Because of its density, Oak burns slower than Birch, giving off an impressive, consistent heat for many hours. This makes it perfect for keeping log burners and open fires warm through the night. Oak also produces very little smoke, ensuring a clean, efficient burn.
While Birch lights quickly and gives an instant strong flame, Oak takes a little longer to get going but rewards you with a slower, more sustained heat output. Many customers like to use the two woods together – Birch for easy lighting, and Oak for long-lasting heat.
