About Puffin Wood Fuels

Puffin Wood Fuels is the trading name of Puffin Energy Ltd, a family-run Scottish business specialising in the manufacture and supply of wood fuel products.

Based in Aberdeenshire, we have been manufacturing wood pellets in Scotland for more than ten years at our production facility near Banff. Alongside our wood pellets, we supply a range of wood fuel and natural wood products including briquettes, heat logs, firewood and wood pellet bedding.

We are proud to source our wood materials from Scottish woodlands and sawmills, including sawmill co-products such as sawdust and wood chip. Our focus is on responsible sourcing, consistent quality and making the best use of Scotland's timber resources.

Quality is at the heart of our production process. Our wood fuel pellets are manufactured to the ENplus® A1 standard, with regular quality controls throughout production, storage and despatch. Puffin Energy Ltd is an active ENplus® certified producer, Producer ID UK 005.

We also hold recognised industry certifications and memberships covering responsible sourcing, sustainability, fuel quality and customer service, including FSC® Chain of Custody certification, Biomass Suppliers List registration and ENplus® certification.

From our production facility to the customer's door, we aim to provide a straightforward, reliable and friendly service. Palletised products can be delivered throughout the UK using our pallet network partners, while our specialist blown pellet delivery fleet provides bulk wood pellet deliveries across Scotland.

Our customer service team are always on hand to make your ordering and delivery process stress free, or to answer any questions, no matter how obscure!
